Different types of acne have a range of treatments as well. Daily good skin care and over-the-counter medications are the treatments for mild acne. Check for drugs that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. There are also lotions that has alpha hydroxyl acid such as glycolic or lactic acid that you can try on. The good exfoliation effect of alpha hydroxyl reduces pore blockages.

Various treatments for body acne is actually okay because this is harder to treat than facial acne. You can use salicylic acid wash and benzoyl peroxide lotion at the same time, for instance, this will not cause irritation.

As for the moderate to severe types of acne, these are difficult to treat, usually the help of a physician is needed. Topical and oral drugs like accutane are usually prescribed. Drugs used for these types of acne are often have adverse effects, so it is important to consult a doctor every now and then.

Question by love: Good spot treatment acne medication cream containing Benzoyl Peroxide?
I'm looking for some spot treatment acne medication cream that actually works
Containing at least 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide
Good for spot treatment on face, and the like, 2 spots on shoulders
Looking for something I can pick up at a drugstore
And that is not too too expensive

Bentonite clay!! although it does not contain Benzoyl peroxide,it works wonders. My skin sucks and i was previously washing then using witch hazel as a toner and then using step three from proactive which contains b-peroxide. I heard about Bentonite clay and decided to try it. OMG! you can use it as a mask or spot treatment. As @mask it gets really tight as it sucks out all the impurities from your skin. Look it up, I have yet to hear ANYTHING bad about it. You can watch videos on youtube to get an idea of how to use it. My skin has NEVER been clear until i started using this. I use this once a week and i also added tea tree oil into my rroutine After i cleanse and tone i get a Q tip and put a drop of tea tree oil(a natural antiseptic) onto it and apply to any bumps i have
